Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OnO Electric's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of OnO Electric's solar installation and electrical services in Calgary, Alberta.
Services Overview
OnO Electric provides the following services:
- Residential and commercial solar panel installation
- Solar energy system design and consultation
- Electrical services and system integration
- Energy efficiency assessments
- Rebate application assistance
- System maintenance and warranty support
Quotations and Estimates
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information provided at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary based on site inspection findings, permit requirements, utility connection fees, or unforeseen installation challenges. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to revise pricing if material costs or project scope changes significantly.
Installation Process
Site Assessment
Prior to installation, we will conduct a thorough site assessment including roof inspection, electrical panel evaluation, and structural analysis. Customers must provide accurate information about their property and grant access for assessment purposes.
Permits and Approvals
OnO Electric will obtain necessary permits and approvals from the City of Calgary and local utility companies. Customers are responsible for providing any required documentation and ensuring compliance with homeowner association rules or property restrictions.
Installation Timeline
Installation timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather conditions, permit processing times, equipment availability, or unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any delays promptly.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your service agreement. Typical payment structure includes:
- Deposit: A deposit (typically 10-30%) is required to secure your installation date and order equipment
- Progress Payments: Payments may be scheduled at key project milestones
- Final Payment: Due upon project completion and system commissioning
Late payments may incur additional fees. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or certified cheque.
Warranties and Guarantees
Equipment Warranties
Solar panels typically carry a 25-year manufacturer warranty. Inverters and other equipment carry manufacturer warranties ranging from 5-25 years. Full warranty details will be provided with your system documentation.
Workmanship Warranty
OnO Electric provides a workmanship warranty covering installation quality for a specified period (typically 5-10 years). This covers defects in installation workmanship but does not cover damage from external factors, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
Warranty Limitations
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage from natural disasters, extreme weather, or acts of God
- Damage from vandalism, theft, or third-party actions
- Issues resulting from customer modifications or unauthorized repairs
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
- Roof repairs or structural work outside the installation scope
Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate information about their property and energy usage
- Ensure safe access to the installation site
- Maintain homeowner's insurance that covers solar installations
- Notify OnO Electric of any system issues promptly
- Refrain from making unauthorized modifications to the system
- Comply with utility company net metering requirements
- Perform basic maintenance as outlined in the owner's manual
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel before equipment is ordered, deposits are refundable minus a processing fee (typically $500). Once equipment is ordered, deposits are non-refundable unless we are unable to complete the installation due to factors within our control. Custom-ordered equipment may incur restocking fees.
Performance Expectations
Solar system performance estimates are based on historical weather data, roof orientation, and shading analysis. Actual performance may vary due to weather conditions, seasonal variations, panel degradation, or changes to property shading. OnO Electric does not guarantee specific energy production levels but will design systems to optimize performance based on site conditions.
Liability and Indemnification
OnO Electric maintains appropriate liability insurance and worker's compensation coverage. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service delays, equipment failures, or energy production variations. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services. Customers agree to indemnify OnO Electric against claims arising from unauthorized system modifications or failure to maintain the system properly.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and system designs, is the property of OnO Electric and protected by Canadian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve the matter amicably. If direct negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation before pursuing legal action. Both parties agree to act in good faith to resolve conflicts efficiently.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
